GameSir has announced the G8 Plus MFi, a new Apple-certified mobile controller designed specifically for iPhone and iPad mini users. This new device, which boasts Apple’s “Made for iPhone/iPad” (MFi) certification, offers full compatibility with iOS devices and low-latency connection performance.
New Game Controller Introduced
Unlike standard wireless models, the device uses a physical USB-C port for data transfer. This minimizes connection drops and latency, which are critical in competitive gaming.
The G8 Plus MFi features a white body with gray accents and boasts technical specifications comparable to professional console controllers. It includes Hall Effect analog sticks and triggers resistant to wear and “stick drift.”
Equipped with a mechanical D-pad and ABXY buttons with a 2 million click lifespan, the controller also features two programmable buttons on the back. Users can physically customize the analog sticks and button layouts to their preferences thanks to the removable magnetic front panel.
With its expandable body, the controller supports devices between 125mm and 215mm in length, and can be used with iPad mini and larger iPhone models, as well as Android devices.
The device features a pass-through USB-C port for in-game charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio. Due to Apple’s certification requirements, this model does not include a built-in battery or gyroscope; the device draws power directly from the connected phone or tablet.
Priced at $80 globally, the GameSir G8 Plus MFi aims to bring the mobile gaming experience to handheld console standards.
